O Captain! My Captain!

The message of this poem is to not forget Lincoln also it's awful because he didn't see what he accomplished. The mood of the poem created is upset and accomplish because he didn't get to see what he did. They know him as a captain because he lead them like a captain would of .

Us, The people that are living now, are unhappy but also pound because he didn't quite see what he change, but we are pound that he took the chance to help us. And that what the Poem is trying to say, Because of him "The ship is anchord safe and sound.

When my teacher stand there and just reading this poem, I felt like, "Wow, look how this women is telling us step by step how things changed from the past to now." Although my emotion to this poem is very thankful because if it wasn't for these people I wouldn't be here where I am now. This poem does relate to Obama life and the inauguration because this poem is all about hope and love but also because all these type of people died for this day to come so a black man could be a elected as president.
